Privacy Policy

The honest summary

BluLoans.com is an education and comparison platform operated by Elementum LLC, a California limited liability company. The personal information we handle falls into four buckets: (1) standard analytics data collected through Google Analytics 4; (2) whatever you choose to send us by email or through the contact form; (3) funding applications, which we transmit securely to our funding partner without retaining your most sensitive details; and (4) lead records — basic contact and request details — kept in our customer-relationship system so we can follow up and keep our records complete. That is the whole inventory, and this policy is written to match what the site actually does — not to reserve rights we do not use.

This policy applies to bluloans.com. It does not apply to any funding provider's site you visit after leaving ours, or to our funding partner's own handling of your application after we transmit it.

What we collect

Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, what devices they use, and how they move through the site. GA4 collects data such as approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, pages viewed, and interaction events. We use this to improve content and site performance, not to build individual profiles. Analytics events never include your name, email, Social Security number, or exact application details.

Funding applications (transmitted, not retained)

If you submit a funding application on BluLoans, it is transmitted securely to our funding partner, Advance Funds Network ("AFN"), which reviews it and makes all credit decisions. Our relay is built on a zero-retention model for your most sensitive information: BluLoans does not store your Social Security number, date of birth, signature, or bank statements. Those pass through our transmission service in memory only, en route to the funding partner, and are never written to our servers, logs, or analytics.

What we do keep from an application: a submission record (which partner, a reference ID, date, requested amount band, state/province, and outcome) and a lead record as described below. The application itself — including the sensitive fields — lives with the funding partner under its own privacy policy, and the authorization you accept at submission (shown in full on the application) governs how AFN and its Recipients may use it, including obtaining credit reports.

Lead records (contact and request details)

So that no inquiry is lost and we can follow up, we record basic lead details in our customer-relationship system (Citizen Pipeline, operated as part of our Successful Citizen family): your name, email address, phone number, business name, country and state/province, requested amount, use of funds, industry, and — for contact messages — your topic and message. Lead records never include Social Security numbers, dates of birth, signatures, tax IDs, street addresses, or banking documents.

Email and the contact form

If you email us or use our contact form — a question, a correction, a partner or investor inquiry, a privacy request — we receive your name, email address, topic, and message. We use them to respond, keep reasonable records of correspondence, and record the inquiry as a lead as described above. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent. {{LEGAL REVIEW}} Confirm the email delivery provider's data-processing terms are referenced here once the production provider is finalized.

What we do NOT retain

This list is the most important part of the policy:

• No Social Security numbers, dates of birth, signatures, or bank documents are stored by BluLoans — application fields like these are transmitted to the funding partner and never retained by us.
• No credit card numbers or financial account numbers. We have no forms that ask for them, and you should never email them to us — see our Security page.
• The funding selector and calculators store nothing server-side. The numbers and answers you enter into our calculators and the funding selector are processed in your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, not saved by us, and not linked to you.
• No accounts, no passwords, no profiles. There is nothing to sign up for.

How we share information

• Advance Funds Network (AFN) and its Recipients. When you submit an application, it is transmitted to AFN, and the authorization you accept permits AFN to share it with its third-party funding partners ("Recipients") for financing purposes. BluLoans is a referral partner of AFN and receives compensation for referred applications — see How We Make Money and our Advertising Disclosure.
• Citizen Pipeline, our customer-relationship system, stores lead records as described above.
• Google, as our analytics provider, processes GA4 data under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Service providers that host the site or handle email process data only as needed to provide those services.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.

Where we operate

BluLoans serves business owners in the United States and Canada (all provinces). Application data is processed in the United States. If you are in Canada, your information is transferred to and processed in the US under this policy and the funding partner's terms. {{LEGAL REVIEW}} Confirm PIPEDA-facing language and any provincial requirements (e.g., Quebec Law 25) for Canadian applicants before scaling Canadian traffic.

When you leave BluLoans

Our comparison tools and content link out to third-party funding providers and to primary sources like the SBA and CFPB. Once you click through, the destination site's own privacy policy governs everything you do there — including any application you complete with a provider. We do not control provider-side data practices and cannot delete data you give a provider directly. Review a provider's privacy policy before submitting anything.

Cookies

We use essential cookies, GA4 analytics cookies, and Microsoft Advertising's UET tag for ad conversion measurement (it never receives names, form inputs, or other personal details from us). Details, categories, and browser controls are in the Cookie Policy.

Your choices and rights

You can browse this site without providing any personal information at all. Beyond that:

• Opt out of analytics: see Your Privacy Choices.
• Request deletion of data we hold (lead records, email correspondence, analytics identifiers where feasible): see Data Deletion Requests. Note that we cannot delete data held by the funding partner — direct those requests to AFN.
• Submit a do-not-sell request: see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights — such as rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. {{LEGAL REVIEW}} Counsel must determine which state privacy laws apply to BluLoans at launch based on entity location, traffic thresholds, and revenue (CCPA/CPRA for California — where Elementum LLC is organized — VCDPA for Virginia, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA, and other state laws now in effect), and add the required state-specific rights sections, response timelines, verification procedures, and any "notice at collection" language accordingly.

Children's privacy

BluLoans is a business-funding site intended for adults operating or starting businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email privacy@bluloans.com and we will delete it.

Data retention

Lead records are retained while relevant to an active or prospective funding relationship and then deleted or anonymized in the ordinary course. Email correspondence is retained as long as reasonably needed to handle the matter and maintain records. GA4 retention is configured within Google Analytics settings. {{LEGAL REVIEW}} Confirm the configured GA4 data-retention period and the CRM retention schedule and state them here explicitly before launch.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the review date at the top of the page. For material changes — new categories of collection, new sharing practices — we will post a notice on this page describing what changed. We will not retroactively apply material changes to previously collected data without a lawful basis.
